The Associated Press reported that the Pakistani military confirmed that the overnight raids against the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan fighters, known as “Khwarij,” occurred in the districts of Laki Marwat and Bannu in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, which borders Afghanistan. The outlet noted that the overnight raids come just days after the Pakistani military confirmed that it killed 45 members of the Tehrik-e-Taliban in the northwest region of the country.
